Put a Smile on the face of a homeless child! Participate in Cubs For Kids!
Have fun and knit a sweater, hat or scarf for a bear cub!
Cubs for Kids is an charity organization founded in 1998 that started out of a love of children and a love of knitting. The purpose of the organization is to allow knitters to use their craft and leftover yarn to create something that a less fortunate child would treasure forever.
Cubs for Kids provides the bear cub, pattern for the sweater, hat and scarf. Knitters provide their creativity and extra yarn. Completed outfits are then collected throughout the year. In early December, the bear cubs are dressed, gift wrapped, and donated to children ages three to six in homeless shelters in various cities across the country.
Our funding comes from a foundation and corporation who provide the money to purchase and ship the bear cubs. Our knitters provide us with the knitted clothing for the cubs.
Patterns are just a click away. Knit one or all of them and send to Cubs for Kids, One North Lexington Avenue, White Plains, NY 10601, and add your name to the list of names already participating.
If you need additional information please call Arlene at (914) 421-4916 or email us at info@cubsforkids.com. I will be happy to answer any questions regarding this charity project.
